Fernando Ariel and Patricia Duboué are a craftsmen
couple from
Argentina. They work together in Córdoba hills, in Argentina.
Profiting from his architect background, they enjoy working with wild
grain woods, focusing in highly creative works, enjoying the natural
color of different woods. They started woodworking about 25 years ago,
when they moved to a beautiful place in Patagonia called El
Bolsón. There, they met all the spirit and feeling of different
natural woods coming from the Southern Andes Mountains.
Back in the
city, he continues the tradition of using renewable stocks, recycling
woods and searching knots from firewood piles. They have been
exhibiting their work since 1985 in highly qualified shows, not only
in South America, but also in the U.S. and they have also been invited
to shows in Europe. While box making is a complicated art, it is there
where Ariel shows his best skills. Same goes to Patricia's pictures, of
high visual impact with carefully chosen graphic designs.
You can find their whole work is classically elegant, even in its
simplicity. These pages are intended as a showcase of their work.
